On 28 August, Maristel Hotel & Spa will host an evening where the Mediterranean becomes the thread connecting a truly unique gastronomic experience. “Born in the Mediterranean” brings together our chef, José Luis Adán, and Jonathan Maldonado, chef at Can Bordoy, for a four-hands dinner celebrating the sea, the land and seasonal cuisine.

Two chefs, two culinary journeys and one shared philosophy: an absolute respect for produce, seasonality and Mediterranean identity. Maristel and Can Bordoy come together in a culinary dialogue that interprets the landscape through contemporary, refined cuisine deeply connected to its origins.

The result is a pescatarian tasting menu, conceived as a journey through the flavours of the Mediterranean. The sea, the kitchen garden, aromatic herbs, olive oil and seasonal produce intertwine in a sequence of dishes, each one flowing naturally into the next to create a delicate balance of textures, aromas and nuances.

Each course reflects an approach to cooking that places the ingredient at the heart of the experience, respecting its essence and allowing the landscape to express itself through every bite. An elegant, honest and thoughtful proposal where creativity is born from the land and the Mediterranean takes centre stage.
